A beautiful day in the mountains
A hundred-year-old log cabin tucked into the canyon, evergreens at the windows and fresh snow on the ground. An intimate gathering of the people we love, all in one warm room.
Built in 1920 as an anniversary gift — a love letter in timber, with logs hauled four miles up Millcreek Canyon by horse-drawn wagon and raised at the foot of the cliffs and waterfalls. A century on, it's one of Utah's most-loved romantic places: warm fires, lantern light, and the hush of the Wasatch, just twenty minutes from the city.
Dress: Winter Mountain Elegant — formal, black tie optional. Burgundy and sage accents welcome; bring a warm layer for the mountain December.

The drive. Log Haven sits about four miles up Millcreek Canyon, roughly twenty minutes from downtown. From I-215, take the 3900 South exit, head left onto Wasatch Boulevard, then turn right at the 3800 South light into the canyon. In December, give yourself extra time and watch for snow and ice — and carpooling is your friend.
Parking. Valet is available at the door, with the lot just across the way by the waterfall. Every guest also gets a complimentary canyon exit voucher on the way out.
Getting around. Cell service is spotty in the canyon, so Uber and Lyft can be unreliable — line up your ride before you head up, or ask us about a group shuttle (Canyon Transport and Le Bus both serve the canyon).
Where to stay. A few hotels sit about fifteen minutes away near Cottonwood: Hyatt Place, Residence Inn by Marriott, and Hampton Inn & Suites, plus a Hampton Inn near University/Foothill. We're working on a room block and will post details here.
Weather. Mountain December — think low 30s°F and possible snow. Layers under the formalwear, and shoes you can manage on a little ice.

Questions, answered
When should I arrive?
The ceremony begins at 6:00 PM. Plan to arrive by 5:30 to park, settle in, and find your seat — and give yourself extra time for the canyon drive, especially if there's snow.
Is it indoors? Will it be warm?
Yes. The ceremony and reception are both inside the cabin, warmly lit and cozy by the fire. The snow stays where it belongs — outside the windows.
What should I wear?
Winter Mountain Elegant — formal, black tie optional. Think tuxedos or dark suits and elegant gowns, with our colors, deep burgundy or sage green, as beautiful accents. It's a mountain December, so bring a warm layer for coming and going, and shoes you can manage on a little ice.
How do I get there, and where do I park?

Yes! Little ones are welcome — we just ask that you include them in your RSVP so we can plan for them.

Yes — drinks are on us, with beer, wine, and cocktails to keep the night warm.
I have a dietary restriction. What should I do?
Let us know when you RSVP and we'll take care of it — the kitchen is happy to accommodate dietary needs and allergies.
Where should I stay?

Can I take photos?
We've got a photographer covering the day, so you can relax and be fully present. That said, feel free to snap your own pics too — we'd love to see the night through your eyes.
